Republican Party Of Orange County Endorses Shawn Steel For National Committeeman

3rd Major County To Endorse Steel For National Committeeman
SANTA ANA, CA - After hearing presentations by both candidates earlier this week, the Republican Party of Orange County voted by a margin of 43 to 6 to endorse Shawn Steel for National Committeeman - joining the Republican Party of Los Angeles County and the Republican Party of San Diego County in supporting Shawn Steel for National Committeeman.
"Shawn Steel will be an effective advocate for California Republicans on the national committee," said Orange County Chairman Scott Baugh.
The Republican Party of Orange County adds its support to a long list of California Republican Leaders, including 36 GOP legislators, 11 Republican Congressmen, 7 former State Party Chairmen, and 33 GOP County Chairs, among hundreds of others.
"This is a strong repudiation of the negative campaign being run by Tim Morgan," said Steel spokesman Mike Richman. "The lopsided vote reflects that Shawn Steel is running a positive campaign and is the only candidate talking about the need to put California back on the national election map."
"Clearly, California Republicans want change at the National Committeeman position," concluded Richman. "And Shawn Steel has the strongest record of the two candidates of advocating for our state party."
