Deputy Chairwoman of Corona del Mar Leslie Daigle |
Council Member Daigle began representing Newport Beach in September of 2004. Councilmember Daigle is working with her City Council colleagues on efforts to benefit the people of Newport Beach including the recent approval of the Back Bay Science Center which will provide for improved water quality testing, the implementation of underground utility districts to enhance safety and aesthetics, and improvements to increase traffic flow.

Council Member Daigle chairs the Media Communications Committee and Newport Beach/Irvine Borders Committee. She is a member of the Finance Committee, the General Plan Update Committee and Newport Beach/Costa Mesa Borders Committee.

Brief History
Until the late 1920s, Corona del Mar was a tiny village, reached from the peninsula by small boat at high tide, or by a muddy dirt road that crossed over the Irvine Ranch. Today, Corona del Mar offers many landmark places to visit, as well as some of the most trendy shops and restaurants. (Previous information from Orange County.net)
