World Affairs Council of Orange County Lecture Event with Lt. General (ret.) Romeo A. Dallaire

The World Affairs Council of Orange County would like to invite the members of your organization to our upcoming Lecture Event on Tuesday, May 21, 2019Lieutenant-General (ret.) The Honorable Roméo A. Dallaire will be discussing the lessons learned from the Rwandan Genocide and how we can apply these lessons to 21st century conflicts. 
Lieutenant-General (ret.) The Honorable Roméo A. Dallaire is a Canadian author, humanitarian, and a retired senator. He served as the Force Commander of the United Nations Mission for Rwanda from 1993 to 1994, where he attempted to cease the genocide against the Tutsi people by the Hutu extremists. He is also an activist against the recruitment of child soldiers and has established the Roméo Dallaire Child Soldiers Initiative to help prevent child recruitment.
Donation monies raised to help bring General Dallaire down from Canada will be donated to his Child Soldiers Initiative.
